Rumors are abound going into E3 2021 and the latest one focuses on The Legend of Zelda. GameStop is currently expecting a big rush of customers after Nintendo's big Summer showcase.

A number of people are speculating that GameStop will receive a rush of customers on June 15 following Nintendo's presentation, most notably from VentureBeat's Jeff Grubb. Grubb shared a similar sentiment from Spawn Wave Media on Twitter when he confirmed that some of his sources are expecting a big GameStop rush related to The Legend of Zelda.

Grubb claimed that the big GameStop rush synchronizes with Nintendo's press event during this year's E3. One of the chief reasons that GameStop is expecting a rush of customers during E3 is related to next-gen console supplies. This may allow several PlayStation and Xbox fans to secure the next-gen console that they've been waiting for. The additional rush from The Legend of Zelda fanbase on June 15 will likely keep GameStop busy for more than just the day of the Nintendo Direct.

Jeff Grubb is apparently keeping his Twitter DM's open to anyone who knows more about E3 news, but fans won't have long to wait as it begins on June 12. Nintendo Prime is another YouTube channel that has discussed the rumors about GameStop and Nintendo as he has corroborated information with GameStop employees who have confirmed that the company expects a rush after Nintendo's presentation. No sources have officially confirmed what Nintendo has cooking for GameStop on June 15  beyond something related to The Legend of Zelda and that they should ensure that they are adequately staffed that day.

Considering that Spawn Wave Media and Jeff Grubb are both industry insiders, they likely get a lot of information that is filtered out as junk mail. Since both of them are claiming that GameStop will be receiving a Legend of Zelda-related rush during E3, there may be some validity to the rumor. Until Nintendo's showcase, what Zelda fans can expect from Nintendo is anyone's guess, but several Twitter users have voiced their opinion.

Most Twitter users in Jeff Grubb's comments are speculating on the sequel to Breath of the Wild and whether or not they'll be able to get their hands on a next-gen console. Several fans of Spawn Wave Media point towards The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD amiibo stock and new costumes, while Nintendo Prime specifically asked how they're certain it's The Legend of Zelda-related. On June 15 they will all find out why GameStop has been forewarned.
