With PS5 and Xbox Series X pre-orders selling out almost immediately, many console gaming fans will be unable to pick up either of the new systems this week. However, it seems that the next shipment of PS5 and Xbox Series X consoles will be arriving at stores around Black Friday, with GameStop now confirming that it will have both the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X in-stock on the big shopping holiday.

GameStop has confirmed that its stores will each have a minimum of two PS5 and Xbox Series X consoles on Black Friday. The total number of consoles will likely vary by store, but regardless, this should be a great opportunity for fans who were unable to secure a pre-order to get their hands on one of the new consoles. And in an effort to stop scalpers, GameStop has also confirmed that consumers will be limited to one PS5 or Xbox Series X console per household.

GameStop isn't the only retailer that is confirmed to have PS5 and Xbox Series X consoles for sale on Black Friday. It's also been confirmed that Best Buy will have PS5 and Xbox Series X consoles available to purchase on Black Friday as well, though it did not specify how many it will have. Like GameStop, that will likely change per location, so fans should keep that in mind.

Even with a second wave of PS5 and Xbox Series X consoles seemingly coming on Black Friday, the next-generation systems will still be in relatively short supply. The COVID-19 pandemic has had an impact on production all over the world, and that combined with extremely high demand will make it difficult for some to get their hands on their new systems right away. Eventually, though, the hype will die down and it will become much easier to simply walk into a store and walk out with a new console in tow.

While consumers are out trying to buy PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X consoles on Black Friday, they may want to check out some of the other gaming deals that will be available this year. There will be Nintendo Switch Black Friday deals this year, including the usual Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Switch bundle. On top of that, Nintendo is also slashing the price of many big Switch games by $20.

There will be PS5 and Xbox Series X games on sale this Black Friday as well, so fans should definitely keep an eye out for deals in the weeks ahead.
