With both the Xbox Series X and the PlayStation 5 being released before Black Friday, which falls on November 27th this year, gamers will be able to purchase them at GameStop on the hectic sale day. However, customers can only buy one console at a time, and stock will undoubtedly be limited, though the purchase limit is to prevent scalpers, which usually pop up whenever a new major console is released.

With all of these deals, it is clear that GameStop will be busy this Black Friday. However, many are already worried about how retail stores will be handling Black Friday this year during the COVID-19 pandemic. This also includes GameStop, which usually do not have large store locations that allow for many customers to be inside the store while also maintaining social distancing. The results of 2020's Black Friday will likely only be known after the day passes with different stores having different policies during the pandemic.

In addition to this, GameStop will also not be open on Thanksgiving. While this can be due to being able to give employees the day off for the American holiday, it can also be to help slow down store traffic before Black Friday hits.

For those not planning on shopping in person this year, the Black Friday early deals for GameStop will be in store and online from November 22nd to November 25th. Meanwhile the actual Black Friday sale will start online on November 25th at 8:00 pm in CST. This is two whole days before the physical in-store sales will begin.
