Since launch, the story of Babylon's Fall has not been an inspiring one, and as it plans to close its services, it seems like retailers like GameStop may avoid selling the game. Babylon's Fall, from Square Enix and PlatinumGames, did not receive a warm welcome, at one point only having one player.

The writing was on the wall, obviously, so it was no surprise when PlatinumGames and Square Enix announced that Babylon's Fall's online services would be shut down in February 2023, about a year or so after launch. It's truly unfortunate, but for anyone who wants to check it out, they should do so now. Buying it any closer to then essentially means robbing one's self of a solid portion of the game, but they may have to look in digital stores for it. It seems GameStop is no longer planning to sell it.

According to Cheap Ass Gamer, a great social media account for keeping up with various video games sales and deals, Babylon's Fall is being removed from GameStop store locations. It's not clear if it's every GameStop or just most/select locations, but it would seemingly be the former. According to the account too, fans can perhaps snag the final items for cheap, if not free, once pennied out at GameStop.

GameStop isn't supposed to sell or give away items it is no longer selling, but it has happened. For example, Anthem was recently purchased at GameStop for a penny by a TikToker. But this seems to be just one more step toward Babylon's Fall's coming end.

Babylon's Fall's services will shut down on February 27.
