In this modern age, games are more expensive than ever due to the cost of production, the quality of the content provided, and length in production with the number of people working on the project. Aside from this, many other factors affect a game's price, yet we always have new releases at $60.  Due to such a steep price, it's not a surprise many people won't fork up that cash easily, and that's why sales are such an essential part of gaming.

If you pay attention, you'll surely see these games there multiple times. With the multitude of deals going on nowadays, there's never a shortage of sales.

10 Bloodborne

Bloodborne is From Software's blockbuster title that's critically acclaimed and is one of the best PS4 exclusive even by today's standard. Drawing close to the end of the Dark Souls series, From Software's director, Hidetaka Miyazaki decided he'd like to do something new with the type of games to make. The result was this excellent Lovecraftian inspired action RPG, and just like the Dark Souls games it is quick to punish players' mistakes.

As a PlayStation exclusive, you can be sure to find this game on sale on many significant sales at a reasonable price the store hosts, along with its DLC. Fans tired of handholdy games that are in need of a real challenge, look no more, you've got the perfect title right here.

9 Resident Evil 2

Next on this list is another heavy hitter from a beloved franchise (expect more of these later on). The Resident Evil series is one of Capcom's oldest, and this is series's second installment. Resident Evil 2 originally released in the late '90s. It's no wonder Capcom finally responded to fans' wish to remake the beloved title.

And what a remake it is, earning multiple awards and good ratings under its belt as a truly great example of how a remake needs to be done.  This incredible remake can also be found around the PlayStation store mainly, as well as the Steam store sales and the Xbox Marketplace on any main holiday sale, usually along with other Capcom titles such as Devil May Cry 5. The Resident Evil 2 remake is genuinely an excellent game that introduced many new gamers to the series.

8 Doom (2016)

Doom: Eternal

With the highly anticipated Doom Eternal finally in our hands, fans and newcomers alike would be happy to know how frequently Doom 2016 goes on sale. It usually goes for as low as $5, which is really convenient as fans who didn't pick up this Doom game in its initial launch, or newcomers who want a complete experience, can pick up this title for the price of a McDonald's meal.

Sure, Doom 2016 isn't as highly rated as Eternal, but this bombastic game is no slouch either, earning multiple titles under its belt. Couple the two titles together, and players will be able to rip and tear for quite some time.

7 The Resident Evil Series

Getting back on the topic of Resident Evil, the mostly survival horror franchise has had a lot of games spanning from 0-7, including the spinoff titles and extras, there's a lot that players can miss out on. Luckily, newer fans of the series or gamers who would like to complete their collections can do so by monitoring most storefronts the games are available on, as Capcom is kind enough to allow their games to go on sale quite often.

The games you should especially keep an eye on are Resident Evil 4 and 5, as these game prices become much more affordable. The Resident Evil games are a collection of entertaining and engaging titles, and everyone should get a chance to play them.

6 Rainbow Six Siege

Rainbow Six Siege is undoubtedly one of Ubisoft's best titles, which is surprising as it did not start out that way, but it is now one of the best multiplayer games on the market today. Players take on the role of one of 40 available operators among a team of five against another team of five, where the goal is to either defend a target or attack it.

Rainbow Six Siege players also have the option to choose whichever version they want, from starter to deluxe. The great thing is that the prices of these versions are cut frequently on the Steam and console stores, perhaps to act as an incentive to bring in as many players as possible.

5 Assassin's Creed Odyssey

After being in a rut for quite some time following the release of Assassins Creed 4, the Assassins Creed series returned in full swing with the Highly Satisfactory Assassins Creed Origins. After the excellent reception the game got from fans and critics, Ubisoft decided to replicate its winning factors such as its RPG elements, but bigger this time, also switching from the Egyptian setting to a Greek one. Despite being quite similar games, Assassins Creed Odyssey is one of the finest in the series.

That's why it's a blessing to see the game on sale while idly browsing online storefronts on developer sales and even on multiple occasions on the Uplay store. Devoted Assassins Creed fans will be glad to be able to own the game at a lower cost.

4 Watch Dogs 2

As a sequel to the first Watch Dogs game that caused some controversy, Watch Dogs 2 is a better game in almost every way to its predecessor. The characters are much more enjoyable to play as and even to watch, and the San Francisco environment is much more fun to be in. Gameplay-wise, it's more fine-tuned than its predecessor, as well with a better stealth system and dynamic hacking system that equips players with more tools on hand.

Similar to the previous Ubisoft title on this list, fans can easily spot this on sale at many stores, probably due to it being a four-year-old game. Nevertheless, don't allow that to stop you from picking it up, and with the incoming release of Watch Dogs: Legion, this is a great time to do so.

3 Far Cry 5

Fary Cry 5 box art with antagonists

Far Cry 5 is the fifth installment in the first-person action-adventure shooter series, Far Cry. Yet another Ubisoft title that can be seen on sale with the rest. Far Cry 5, despite not being on par with Far Cry 3, is an enjoyable experience in its own right. The game takes place in fictional Hope County Montana, which is being terrorized by Eden's Gate, a doomsday cult led by their cult leader Joseph Seed.

Players take on the role of their created character to fight the cultists in an open-world setting through a variety of weapons and other methods. The good thing about the Far Cry series is that it doesn't continue from a previous story, so new players can jump in with whichever title they'd like.

2 Dragon Ball FighterZ

Dragon Ball FighterZ (actually pronounced fighters) is another hit in the Dragon Ball game series produced by Arc System Works and published by Bandai Namco. Dragon Ball FighterZ focusses on 2D fighting, unlike some other titles in the series.

FighterZ is loved by most Dragon Ball fans and is most definitely one of the best fighting games available on the market today, with tons of content available. The game's price has been slashed multiple times on different stores, including the recurring Bandai Namco publisher sales. Those searching for an excellent fighting game can keep an eye out for this one.

1 Dead By Daylight

Initially released in June 2016, Dead By Daylight is an asymmetrical survival horror game based on a 1v4 online multiplayer mechanic. Players take on the role of four survivors against a killer (which are mostly famous killers in media), and the killer's goal is to sacrifice the survivors to unknown malevolent being.

The game, while already at a usual $20-$30, can be found at half the price during most sales. Survival horror fans are advised to keep an eye out for this one as well.
