Extra, Extra, We’ve Got Your Division Guides

Now that The Division finally went live this Tuesday (despite some launch day server hiccups), countless gamers have begun teaming up to explore the gritty New York City streets. As it turns out, Manhattan isn’t a friendly place to explore in a post-pandemic world, so we’ve compiled plenty of guides to help players get the most bang for their buck.

For those looking to bulk up as quickly as possible, we’ve made a written guide and companion video on how to level up fast, as well as how to earn and use Phoenix Credits within the game. We’ve also got our readers covered if they’re looking for any unique weapon from the game, how to get the daily missions, or even how to farm the high-end weapons.

There’s still plenty of new things to uncover in The Division, and a gambling man wouldn’t want to bet against us putting out a few more handy guides in the coming weeks.

Lionhead Studios Closes Its Doors; Fable Legends Gets Cancelled

Fable Legends Cancelled, Lionhead Studios May Close Down - Fable Legends archer

While some thought that Fable Legends was doomed from the start, it’s always a sad thing to see a game that many developers spent countless hours get relegated to the proverbial pile of “what-if” cancelled projects. Fable Legends was first revealed in 2013, and the 4-player co-op multiplayer title failed to pick up much traction with fans after that – after three years of general disinterest in comparison to other titles, it looks like Microsoft decided to call it quits before they had another Evolve on their hands.

To make things even more tragic, Microsoft confirmed the closure of Lionhead Studios, which had been in operation for twenty years. Aside of the studio’s obvious contribution to Microsoft in terms of the Fable franchise, Lionhead had also produced Black and White, a memorable series from the turn of the new millennium.

Fable Legends was intended to release on both PC and Xbox One platforms, but has now since been cancelled.

CD Projekt Red Things Cyberpunk 2077 Will be Bigger, Badder & Better Than The Witcher 3

The Witcher 3 Composer Will Return for Cyberpunk 2077 - Cyberpunk 2077 concept art

CD Projekt Red is a studio not afraid to make bold statements, and their latest claim is is that their latest project will one-up their Game Awards Game of the Year winning title, The Witcher 3. The studio already revealed that the Cyberpunk 2077 would be the larger of the two titles a few months ago, and its clear that CD Projekt Red’s ambitions stem far beyond mere filesizes. This week, studio head Adam Badowski went on the record to say that Cyberpunk 2077 must be “even better, even bigger, even more revolutionary” than The Witcher 3.

Badowski was speaking to investors at the studio’s financial results conference, during what has undoubtedly been a great year for CD Projekt Red. Interestingly, Badowski also confirmed that the studio is looking to double in size, and wants to jump from 400 developers to 800, which would be split into four teams. The studio is currently working on both Cyberpunk 2077 and an as-yet unannounced title.

Cyberpunk 2077 currently has no set release date.

Bungie Reveals the Queen of the Reef’s Fate

Queen Mara Sov The Taken King

Today, Bungie has finally revealed what has happened to one of Destiny’s major characters. Not only does she help the player on their way to reaching the maximum level within the game, but her realm (the Vestian Outpost) was prominently featured in the game’s second expansion, House of Wolves. The Queen is last seen engaging Oryx in an intense battle, before being engulfed in and apparently disintegrated by a giant explosion.

Fans have speculated on the topic of her survival due to the some of the in-game lore hinting that she may be alive, and Bungie has now confirmed this to be the case. The revelation came during Bungie’s Weekly Stream, where voice actor Mara Sov – the voice behind the Queen herself – was a guest. Interestingly, Creative Story Lead CJ Cowan also confirmed that the studio has big plans for Mara, indicating that the Queen of the Reef has a big role to play in the distant future of Destiny.

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake Gets Some Gameplay Footage

A collective fan effort going by the name of Apeiron has been working on a massive-scale remake of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, despite the fact that rumors are starting to circulate that an official remake may in the works, too. The group of fans aim to completely remaster the existing content from the original game, and aims to include brand new content such as new worlds, missions, items, and companions.

This week, Apeiron has allowed a YouTuber to release a stunning video which shows off some admittingly sleek footage from the game. The self-described ‘gameplay video’ doesn’t actually feature too much gameplay (or any combat, for that matter), but it certainly does a great job in showing off the game from a technical standpoint.

It looks so good, in fact, that many fans are worried that Disney will shut the project down, much like what happened to the creators of the Metal Gear Solid remake Shadow Moses.
