It's been a long week, but one underscored by one of the biggest game releases of the year. With Resident Evil Village now available to the masses, and Mass Effect Legendary Edition releasing today, there's plenty for gamers to be playing. Of course, there's also a healthy helping of news for Cameron and Anthony to discuss on Game Rant Arcade Episode 21.
Kicking things off, PlayStation has 25 new games in the works, but it isn't clear what they are. No information about the games has been released, and there's no telling when fans will start to see trailers for them pop up. It seems likely that games will start to appear during the summer, with Sony likely running its own streams during E3, but fans will have to wait and see.
Additionally, Stardew Valley is dealing with a copycat game in the form of Super Zoo Story, which boasts elements that are shockingly similar to it. However, after a wave of criticism, Super Zoo Story's developer has promised to make changes to the game.
In other news, Xbox will introduce an easier way to buy a Series X. Soon, select Xbox Insiders will be able to pre-register for the opportunity to pick up an Xbox Series X, allowing them to circumvent the competition with scalpers. However, Xbox has made it clear that not everyone will be able to snag a console this way, though it's certainly a step in the right direction.
Battlefield 6 is now confirmed to be revealed next month, with EA also running an EA Play presentation in July that should bring its fair share of news. On top of that, Gabe Newell gave a bit of a tease about Steam games coming to other consoles, though it isn't clear if that's the case, or if he was just playing around.
