Game Rant Arcade episode 1 is here. In the inaugural episode, Game Rant editors Cameron Corliss and Anthony Taormina discuss The Last of Us 2's Game of the Year Win, The Callisto Protocol's announcement, Perfect Dark's reveal, the PS5's launch success, and how retailers can combat scalpers. All of that, topped off with a discussion about Cyberpunk 2077's fumbled launch.

While The Last of Us 2's Game of the Year win shouldn't come as a surprise to many, it did have some impressive competition alongside it, namely the likes of Hades and Animal Crossing: New Horizons. The Last of Us 2's wins didn't stop there, either, as the game took home a number of other awards to cap off the night too.

Meanwhile, The Game Awards also included the announcement of a new Perfect Dark game and The Callisto Protocol. While Perfect Dark may not be the game everyone was hoping for from The Initiative, many fans of the franchise are waiting to see what becomes of it. The Callisto Protocol, on the other hand, may prove to be something special for horror fans around the globe, even if the PUBG connection is loose.

On top of that, the PS5 is off to a record start, though issues with scalpers still persist. Luckily, a group of UK politicians are working to stop the issue, though it isn't clear just how effective these measures can be. On the bright side, gamers have Cyberpunk 2077's buggy launch to distract them from the issues.
