Instead of adding new games to Xbox Game Pass all at once at the beginning of the month, Microsoft likes to spread out its new Game Pass games. This means that Xbox Game Pass subscribers constantly have new games to look forward to, with a fresh batch of titles added to the service on Tuesday, April 12.

Microsoft has added three more games to the Game Pass lineup on Tuesday, April 12, though it should be noted that only one of them is relevant to vanilla Xbox Game Pass subscribers. Starting today, Xbox Game Pass subscribers can check out Life is Strange: True Colors, the latest installment in the acclaimed Life is Strange series that released last year to mostly positive reviews. Life is Strange: True Colors is available across cloud, consoles, and PC, so Xbox gamers have a lot of options when it comes to checking it out.

The same can't be said for Panzer Corps 2, which is only available on PC Game Pass. PC Game Pass is a separate service than vanilla Game Pass, which gives subscribers access to the PC Game Pass library. There's a lot of overlap between PC and vanilla Game Pass, but there are instances when some games are only available on PC or vice versa, with Panzer Corps 2 being an example.

New Xbox Game Pass Games for April 12

Life is Strange True Colors
  • Life is Strange: True Colors (Cloud/Console/PC)
  • Panzer Corps 2 (PC)
  • The Dungeon of Naheulbeuk (PC)

And finally, PC Game Pass is also getting The Dungeon of Naheulbeuk today. While The Dungeon of Naheulbeuk is a new addition for PC Game Pass, it should be noted that it has been available to console Game Pass players since last month. It's unclear why there was a one-month discrepancy between Dungeon of Nahuelbeuk's PC Game Pass and vanilla Game Pass availability, but in any case, subscribers can now check it out on their platform of choice.

Of course, those with an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription never really need to worry about what platform any given new Game Pass game is available on. For the uninitiated, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate is the highest-tier of Game Pass, and it gives subscribers access to everything that comes to the service across PC Game Pass, vanilla Game Pass, EA Play, etc.

Speaking of EA Play, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers can look forward to Lost in Random later this week, as it's set to join the lineup on Thursday, April 14.
