HBO viewers are still a few weeks away from the season premiere of Game of Thrones and it has been a long nine months since the season four cliffhanger. Luckily for gamers, we've had Telltale's companion adventures to stay busy during the fantasy TV series' off season. With the first two episodes of Telltale's Game of Thrones in the rear view mirror, it's time to take a look at what episode three has to offer...

The third installment of the Game of Thrones episodic adventure follows the rocky launch of episode two and will hopefully get the six-part series back on track. A few screenshots were released over the weekend and confirmed that episode three, titled The Sword in the Darkness, would include at least one dragon and the trip to the Wall that many fans had been predicting.

PC owners and US-based PlayStation gamers will have the earliest access to The Sword in the Darkness on March 24. Xbox gamers and PS users outside of the US will be able to purchase the game just 24 hours later on March 25. iOS and Android users will be last to the party on March 26.

Fans of the novels and television series will likely notice in the trailer that (some spoilers ahead) the adventures of House Forrester seem to be ready to move into season four territory. The series kicked off in the wake of the Red Wedding and this trailer hints that episode three will take place around the same time as another infamous wedding in Westeros history. We don't see any gameplay or cinematics from the wedding at King's Landing, but we do see Tyrion in custody, which gives Game of Thrones lore experts a pretty good idea about what is coming up.

North of King's Landing, we also see a few hints that this adventure will take gamers to the Wall. If the adventure's name is any indication, it seems like a safe bet that the Night's Watch will play an important role in this chapter's narrative. As expected in any Telltale game, players will likely be faced with some heart-wrenching moral dilemmas as they take control of Gared at the Wall, Asher in Mereen, and Mira in King's Landing.

How do you think dragons will play into this chapter of Game of Thrones? Do you think Telltale will be able to launch this episode more smoothly than the last? Let us know in the comments.

Game of Thrones Episode 3, The Sword in the Darkness, releases on March 24 for PC, PS3, and PS4; March 25 for Xbox 360 and Xbox One; and March 26 for iOS and Android.
