The Game of Thrones HBO adaptation has been completed two years ago, and some fans still aren't over the way the show ended. Unfortunately, the show's finale might end up becoming its legacy. All that aside, however, Game of Thrones still has some of the most iconic characters in both literature and television. At the very top of that list is the Daenerys Targaryen, the powerful and unstoppable Mother of Dragons who, despite her ultimate fate, continues to captivate fans.
Daenerys, portrayed by Emilia Clarke in the show, has always been one of the most popular characters. Her unique look, with her distinctive dragon-inspired wardrobe and platinum blonde braids, add to her popularity and make her recognizable everywhere, including video games. Many gamers have used their favorite video games to create Game of Thrones characters like Khaleesi. There are tons of amazing creations in many games, both with and without the use of mods, that do a great job of recreating Daenerys Targaryen.
Demon's Souls Remake
Demon's Souls might not be the first game to come to mind for recreating TV characters, but the medieval atmosphere works perfectly with Game of Thrones and the character creation tools are powerful. Reddit user shoni89 created this beautiful version of Daenerys Targaryen and took an amazing screenshot that looks like it could have come directly from a Game of Thrones video game. The character creator in the Demon's Souls Remake is wonderful and this Daenerys recreation showcases its potential perfectly.
The Sims 3
There are dozens of Daenerys Targaryen Sims out there for both Sims 3 and Sims 4, but this version by Kurosoberina on Tumblr is absolutely perfect. Character creation is one of the main features of the Sims franchise, and the game is highly customizable with content and mods created by fans. This version of Daenerys makes use of these resources with custom hair, eyebrows, and even eyelashes. Especially for an older game, the result is stunning.
Sims 4
It's hard to have The Sims 3 without The Sims 4. The transition from Sims 3 to Sims 4 was exciting for custom content creators because they had the opportunity to create new things that fit the look of The Sims 4 but also wanted to make old custom content from The Sims 3 compatible with the latest version. This version of Daenerys, created by SimmerKat on YouTube, uses the same hair as Kurosoberina but went for a slightly more stylized interpretation, complete with one of Khaleesi's most memorable dresses.
Skyrim
There are so many mods available for Skyrim's character creation that it would be a crime to not include Daenerys Targaryen, the Mother of Dragons. Playing Daenerys as the Dragonborn is almost too perfect. This version of Khaleesi, posted by User_5697469 on Nexus Mods, does a great job of capturing Dany's appearance. Maybe the most impressive part of this character is the outfit, which looks like it was pulled right out of Daenerys' closet. Game of Thrones and Skyrim are perfectly complementary, and absolutely no one is surprised.
Nioh 2
One of the most impressive recreations of Daenerys Targaryen in a video game comes from Callista-Lorian, u/makeupformermaids on Reddit. The creator has made a lot of amazing characters using the character customization tools in Nioh 2, including the Mother of Dragons. This model looks exactly like Emilia Clarke from the HBO show but went for a more book-accurate silver hair color instead of platinum blonde. She also looks incredibly expressive in a sad sort of way that's very on point for Daenerys.
Dragon Age: Inquisition
Just like Skyrim, it would be a shame to not take advantage of Dragon Age: Inquisition's character creator to create Daenerys. This version, created by u/killerewok on Reddit, gives off some Brienne of Tarth vibes because of the short hair, but her facial features definitely resemble the Mother of Dragons. The creator has released images of the sliders they used so that other players can easily replicate Daenerys, so anyone can have Daenerys in their game.
