One of the most appealing perks of signing up for a Nintendo Switch Online subscription is the ability to access Nintendo's vast backlog of classic titles. From the NES to the N64, a plethora of games have been made available with the promise of many more to come in the future. The Game Boy Advance is one platform that has yet to be represented on Nintendo's online service, and a new rumor could suggest that these handheld titles will be made available at some point.

While any rumor should be taken with a grain of salt, it makes sense for Nintendo to eventually add the GBA lineup to Nintendo Switch Online as well, as the trusty handheld has its own library of heavy hitters just waiting for modern audiences to enjoy. Nintendo does have a habit of slowly rolling out these releases however, and there are a number of GBA games that players shouldn't be made to wait on. From familiar franchises, cult classics, and everything in between, these are the GBA games that Nintendo should prioritize putting on Nintendo Switch Online first.

Metroid: Zero Mission

The Metroid franchise is riding high once again thanks to the immense success of Metroid Dread a few months back. It sold very well, and must have created a bevy of new fans of the series who are curious to check out prior installments. What better option to satisfy this craving than Metroid: Zero Mission, a revamp of the NES original with dazzling new visuals and extra story content. For a handheld title, it packed quite the adventure and is sure to be as enjoyable today as it was so many years ago.

The Legend of Zelda: Minish Cap

With each new Nintendo platform, another journey in The Legend of Zelda franchise is bound to come with it, and sure enough the GBA received its own dedicated title. The Legend of Zelda: Minish Cap is one of the earliest entries in the series chronologically, something which would appeal to players wanting to experience as much as possible about this magical gaming series. Furthermore, adding this onto Nintendo Switch Online could also help scratch that Zelda itch for fans eagerly anticipating Breath of the Wild 2.

Golden Sun Series

Looking back at the GBA's library, an assortment of Mario, Zelda and Kirby titles may be the first to come up in conversation. For RPG lovers, however, Golden Sun was as good as it gets on Nintendo's classic handheld. Amazing sprite animation, lengthy quests, engaging combat, and epic music all came together to forge a unique and thrilling adventure that could be enjoyed anywhere. Over the years, Golden Sun seems to have been forgotten slightly, but there is no better way to shine a light on it than by putting it on the growing user base of Nintendo Switch Online.

Mother 3

Mother 3 English Release

Speaking of beloved RPG games, Mother 3 is quite possibly one of the most requested games from Nintendo's backlog to be re-released on modern platforms. The major kicker is that Mother 3 was never made available outside of Japan, and while fans have made efforts to translate it themselves over the years, the real deal would be a welcome addition to Nintendo Switch Online. Recently, Earthbound was added to the SNES library of Nintendo Switch Online, so hopefully Nintendo continues to bring this series back to the forefront.

Final Fantasy Tactics Advance

Final Fantasy Tactics Remaster Evidence

While there have been some rumors of a Final Fantasy Tactics Advance remaster doing the rounds, it would also be nice for players both new and old to enjoy the game in its original version. The game is still only available on the GBA to this day, so making it more readily available would be a wise move on Nintendo and Square's part. The strategic battle system, intriguing storyline, and unforgettable music make this GBA game stand the test of time, and it would be a worthy inclusion to Nintendo Switch Online.
