Those looking forward to news about upcoming titles should get ready for Future Games Show. GamesRadar has revealed that the digital gaming event Future Games Show will be back this year and sooner than expected.

As gaming news increasingly goes online for reveals, various sites and publishers have created their own shows. Though Future Games Show is a relatively new addition, it has managed to establish itself as a consistent celebration. The showcase has appeared during E3 and Gamescom, as well as its own special event. Even with some digital shows up in the air for 2021, it looks like FGS will be back.

According to GamesRadar, this year's FGS will be happening on March 25. The hosts for the event will be Jeff Schine and Nicole Tompkins, both known for their work in the Resident Evil 3 remake. The showcase is going up at 14:45 PDT / 17:45 EDT / and 21:45 GMT, so make sure to mark the calendar. Those interested in checking out the showcase can view it either on Twitch, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, or GamesRadar itself.

The site is not stingy about giving teases for what developers and publishers are appearing. The event in spring will have over 40 games from various types of genres and formats. Plus, there will be world premieres from publishers like Warner Bros. Games, EA, and SEGA. The full list includes over 30 of these groups, so there will be plenty of reveals to go around. There will also be a pre-show with some exclusive updates and announcements as well.

More game showcase events are always welcome, as it generates hype for what is coming down the line. The previous FGS have had fairly major titles like the positively reviewed Assassin's Creed Valhalla and Watch Dogs Legion. With so many teams showing up for the event, it is likely that there will at least be a few highlights throughout. Warner Bros. Games and EA have a lot of big name series, so these will just some of the publishers to look out for.

On the other hand, reception to digital game shows has been lukewarm recently. A Nintendo Direct a few weeks back was missing a lot of expected titles, and Sony's State of Play did not do much for the crowd. Even Blizzard dropped the ball when it came to Overwatch at BlizzCon 2021. Whether this is due to the current pandemic or period between console generations is hard to say. But there is a decent chance that FGS will not have many exciting announcements either. In any case, fans will just have to wait and see what happens later this month.
