Elden Ring players have been starved for news regarding the project, waiting patiently for a trailer, update, or release date announcement for well over a year. To kill the time, Elden Ring fans have flooded the subreddit with memes, though now they have started to focus their attention on posting tier lists.

While some started with serious lists, placing games like Bloodborne and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice above or below the Souls titles, the process quickly devolved into a joke. A fitting turn of events given the past activity of Elden Ring-loving Redditors, plenty of unique lists have been shared. Redditor BigHat-Logan, for example, ranks From Software’s games based on how quickly players can dress up like the character on the cover — with hilarious categories like “Literally Immediately” replacing the standard S-F options.

Another list, this time from Reddit user ErrantOverflow, is very clearly a troll. Placing every From Software game in F tier, the list would be funny enough on its own. However, seeing the popular indie game Bugsnax in the S tier adds to the image’s humor, with the extra touch of putting a “Literally Doesn’t Exist” tier at the bottom of the image. Unsurprisingly, Elden Ring is slotted into this category, with the Redditor poking fun at how little has been shown about the project thus far.

Next up, Reddit user Faboian jokes about the lack of information regarding an Elden Ring release date. While rumors have appeared saying that news will come soon, and players have theorized that the game will drop in the first half of 2021, Faboian is a bit more doubtful. Showing every other game and the year they released, the fan works his way up to 2019 and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. However, this is where the years stop, as Elden Ring simply has an infinity symbol next in place of a year of release.

One more great Elden Ring tier list comes from feels_bad_man_1, with the Reddit user likely having the most honest take that was shared to the subreddit. Saying that they “like all of them,” the fan of From Software’s past work puts all the games into the same tier — apart from one. Bloodborne gets a separate tier of its own, simply because they have “no PS4,” adding that they “would probably like” the gothic RPG if they had the chance to play it.

There are more fun Elden Ring jokes on the subreddit, with one list ranking the games based on the number of Berserk references they have and another tier list saying that tier lists are overused. While the new meme has not brought Elden Ring any closer to a gameplay showcase or release date, at least the subreddit has provided fans with even more laughs.

Elden Ring is in development for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
