Although the initial hype that came along with the release of Friday the 13th: The Game has mostly died down, there is still a core community of players that have stuck with the game. Thanks to big patches and frequent content updates, the slasher title is getting better all the time. From the looks of things in a new trailer, one of the next big updates will give the iconic killer a lot more variety during his hunt around Camp Crystal Lake.

Friday the 13th: The Game is going to add a new feature that gives players the ability to mix and match weapons and kills between the different Jason skins. Currently, each Jason (inspired by one of the films) has a unique weapon and special kill. This update will allow players to mix those up and create their own loadout of the killer.

Here's the official statement from Gun Media on the upcoming weapon and kill swapping feature...

"Killer Accessories... Have a favorite Jason, but wish you could change his weapon? Would you love to see Part 3 Jason perform a Part 6 kill? You’re in luck (victims, not so much). Coming soon, Jason players will be able to choose their weapon from the player customization screen.... Mix, Match, and Slash!"

The player customization sounds like an exciting feature that will add a new element of surprise when the campers face off against Jason each round. The development team did not specify a release date for the update, but did say that it will be coming soon.

Check back for updates and an official release date on the new content.

Friday the 13th: The Game is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
