Friday the 13th Adding Part 4 Jason Skin and Jarvis House Map

Just recently, the executive producer for IllFonic, Joshua Gertz, shared details regarding the bug fixes in the works for the asymmetrical multiplayer survival-horror title Friday the 13th: The Game in order to assure fans that the studio is still doing its best to ensure the game is running smoothly. Now the publisher Gun Media and the developer IllFonic have offered a tease of fresh content to come in the form of a Jason Voorhees skin from Part 4 in the film series – that is, Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter – as well as a new Jarvis House map.

As seen below in the teaser video for Friday the 13th: The Game's impending content, fans can get a look at the exterior of the Jarvis House map, which is experiencing a rough bout of stormy weather, all while the Jason from Part 4 stares creepily through the shutters of an upstairs window. Unfortunately, though, no information was given as to when these assets will make their way into the title.

For those unaware, weather effects have been absent for the most part in Friday the 13th: The Game's maps, so it's quite possible that Gun Media and IllFonic are prepared to inject a more tempestuous form of meteorology in each of the maps in order to create a spookier ambiance for players, with the inclusion of the Jarvis House potentially being the litmus test for the feature. Not to mention, the Jason Voorhees skin from Part 4 of the film franchise is supposed to have his own set of unique stats and kills to set him apart from the other versions of the character, making thim that much more distinctive.

Taking all of this into account, it looks as if Gun Media and IllFonic's work on the long-awaited new content for Friday the 13th: The Game ought to please most fans of the title, especially since both of the aforementioned materials are to be included in a free update. Of course, while this DLC is a great way to keep people engaged with the title, it will be interesting to see how fans react once the companies finally finish work on the game's single-player mode.

Friday the 13th: The Game is available now for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
