In the opening credits for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, moviegoers play witness to Baby Groot's quirky antics while his team fights an interdimensional monster, all set to the tune of Mr. Blue Sky by ELO. Inspired by Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2's memorable opening sequence, YouTuber and Friday the 13th: The Game fan Stephen Romanchik has decided to recreate the opening in the asymmetrical multiplayer horror game.

While Romanchik's video doesn't feature any interdimensional monsters or the witty banter of the Guardians crew, it does have Jason Voorhees slaughtering a number of camp counselors with Mr. Blue Sky playing in the background. The video showcases a number of Jason's most brutal executions in Friday the 13th: The Game, with the slasher movie icon murdering teenagers with hatchets, pickaxes, and more.

Besides Jason dismembering camp counselors with standard weapons, the video also sees some of Jason's more creative killing methods. For example, the video shows Jason perform his sleeping bag execution from the movie Jason X, where he repeatedly smashes a sleeping counselor against a tree. We also see Jason literally rip a man's heart out, so the video is not for anyone with a weak stomach.

Not only does this video from Stephen Romanchik show off some of Jason's executions, but it also features some of the game's various skins. Throughout the video, we see Jason in his standard garb, as well as his burlap sack appearance from the second movie, and even his flaming skin designed by horror movie legend Tom Savini.

Overall, fans of both Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and Friday the 13th: The Game should be able to get a chuckle out of Romanchik's video. In the meantime, it will be interesting to see what other parody videos and fan created content come from Friday the 13th: The Game, which seems to be fairly popular despite its ongoing technical issues.

Friday the 13th: The Game is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
