On the last Wednesday of every month, Sony announces the new free PS Plus games for the following month, and as expected, it's announced the free PS Plus games for November 2019. These new free games will be available to download for PS Plus subscribers beginning Tuesday, November 5.

The free PS Plus games for November 2019 are Nioh and Outlast 2. There aren't any free PS Plus games for PS3 or PS Vita, as Sony discontinued those earlier this year to instead focus solely on PS4 offerings. While some fans may be disappointed by that, the free PS Plus games have been pretty strong lately, and the free PS Plus games for November 2019 are certainly no exception.

For the uninitiated, Nioh is a Souls-like game set in feudal Japan. In our own Nioh review, we praised the game for its tough but fair difficulty, intense boss battles, and addicting gameplay. Nioh 2 was announced at Sony's E3 2018 press conference, with the open beta for that game starting on November 1. Making the first Nioh free to PS Plus subscribers should help Sony introduce more people to the series, which could potentially translate to more sales for the upcoming Nioh 2.

Outlast 2, meanwhile, is a narrative-driven first-person horror game where players have to contend with a terrifying cult. In our Outlast 2 review, we praised the game's strong graphics, scare factor, and interesting story. While it will be coming a little bit late for Halloween, Outlast 2 should still be a great game to play for PS Plus subscribers if they still have yet to check it out.

The free PS Plus games for November 2019 consist of two pretty strong offerings, and come hot off the heels of a well-received lineup for October 2019. The free PS Plus games for October 2019 include The Last of Us Remastered, an enhanced version of the critically-acclaimed PS3 survival-horror game, and MLB 19: The Show. Both games earned strong praise from critics, and so fans were happy to see them made a part of the free PS Plus games lineup. PlayStation Plus subscribers have until November 5 to claim them.

Whether or not Sony can keep the momentum going with its free PS Plus offerings moving into December 2019 remains to be seen. In the meantime, PS Plus subscribers should have no shortage of high quality games to play.
