File sizes have been revealed for the batch of three new games coming to the PS Plus Essential plan for April. Now, April's free games have officially been revealed, and their file sizes have been confirmed.Sony announced the lineup of free PS Plus games for April earlier this week with three games hitting the premium service for the new month. Sackboy: A Big Adventure, Tails of Iron, and new game Meet Your Maker will all be coming as free games for PS Plus members. Meet Your Maker notably comes as a rare day one release for the free service with the building-and-raiding game launching on April 4th. Tails of Iron arrives as the smallest of the trio with 1.758 GB required for the PS4 version and only 935 MB needed for PS5. Meet Your Maker's file size was unable to be fully confirmed due to its pre-release status, but is expected to range somewhere from 3 to 8 GB. Sackboy: A Big Adventure will easily be the largest of the three, requiring 35.539 GB for the PS4 version and 31.812 GB for the PS5.

Sackboy: A Big Adventure serves as the most established of the three, being the newest game following the titular mascot popularized by Sony's LittleBigPlanet franchise. Tails of Iron boasts solid reviews as an indie Soulslike game following a rat knight fighting to overthrow the tyrannical Frog Clan. Meet Your Maker is the newest game from Dead by Daylight developer Behaviour Interactive, thrusting players into a post-apocalyptic world with building mechanics and user-generated outposts.

The new lineup of free games with PS Plus Essential come as Sony recently announced one of the higher tiers is scheduled to lose several games in April. Sony revealed a selection of 10 games that would be leaving PS Plus Extra during April, including popular games like Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 and The Wonderful 101: Remastered. An exact date for the removal was not confirmed, though it is expected to come alongside April's new additions. While PS Plus Extra will lose several games in April, the service will likely gain plenty more during the month.
