To celebrate 2020 and recap PlayStation’s 2019, Sony is offering up a way for fans to check out their own personal year-in-review on PlayStation 4 and Vita. PlayStation blog sent out the post linking to the website earlier today, not unlike the blog’s post about PlayStation fans’ favorite games of the decade. To participate, PlayStation users will have to have a few things: a PlayStation Network account with collection data turned on, at least 10 hours played on PS4 or Vita, and they must be over 18 years old.

While PlayStation fans can look forward to the PS5, they can use the site to look back at what might be the final main year of the PS4. The site shows the player's top three most played games, player’s top genre, and hour many hours players clocked in among other statistics. On top of all that, Sony is offering players a free dynamic theme and seven different avatars for players to claim and download after they’ve seen their own personal statistics.

While Sony is currently offering players a chance to look back at the previous year of 2019, many PlayStation fans are looking ahead to 2020. While many excellent games are slated to be released for the PS4 in 2020, like the Last of Us Part II, Ghosts of Tsushima, and Final Fantasy 7 Remake, the PS5 is also slated to release at the end of this year. While Sony recently revealed the PS5’s logo at CES, some fans took issue with the logo's simplistic design. Following the criticism, Sony Interactive Entertainment’s CEO Jim Ryan took time to explain the design choice.

Unfortunately, there is some cause for concern among PlayStation fans, as Sony recently announced that it will skip E3 for the second year in a row, leaving fans to wonder when the PS5 will possibly be unveiled. However, Sony recently announced its own Experience PlayStation event which may house the reveal of the PS5. Regardless, skipping E3 2020 has split reactions online down the middle of support and contempt.

Industry analyst Michael Pachter has recently spoken out about how he thinks the decision to skip E3 is a huge mistake. Pachter states that this may damage the company’s image of putting the consumer before other parties, while not showing up to one of the largest and most celebrated gaming consumer showcases of the year. Yet, it seems Sony will stand firm in its decision to forgo E3 in favor of this new Experience PlayStation event. Until that even rolls around, PlayStation fans to head to the Wrap Up website to check out their stats for 2019 and receive their snazzy free theme.
