Twitch has been struggling to maintain streamers and this has been exacerbated by banning a fair number of their users. Naturally, bans have been introduced with rule violations, however, FOUSEYtube has had somewhat of a confusing month with Twitch. The streamer has had conflicting responses from Twitch and all of them have been devoid of any clarity, or at least any sense that his fans can see.

FOUSEYtube has 10 million subscribers on YouTube, while his following on Twitch is significantly smaller with only 100,000 followers, and this added to the mystery of his first ban. The first ban occurred in late November and Fousey took to his Twitter account to question the judgement. There has been no public statement about the answers given and the latest ban has been put in place under similar circumstances.

Fousey had stated that he had been "banned indefinitely" yet this decision seems to have been reversed just a day later. Interestingly, Fousey has removed his tweets regarding the situation and there has been no official word on why he received the initial judgement, or why he had been banned in such quick succession. With so many Twitch streamers moving to Mixer, needless bans could certainly sway content providers.

In fact, Fousey attempted to get streaming on Mixer in the wake of this news. Yet, any streaming service has a strict set of rules for its content providers and in this sense Mixer's rules are not all that different to Twitch's permissions. Twitch seems to be banning streamers a lot more frequently than Mixer but this may be because it has more user traffic and more streamers on its platform. With more viewers, there is a higher chance of content being reported, and with more entertainment providers, there are more streams that could be offensive.

There have been plenty of Twitch streamers considering a move to Mixer after bans, but the rules and regulations of Mixer will likely result in similar issues for the streamers. In the case of Fousey, it seems that something has been brought to his attention that has made him remove his negative comments about Twitch and his positive statements about Mixer. It will be interesting to see if Fousey ever releases a statement about why he was banned, permanently removed, and then reinstated.
