As Pokemon celebrates its 25th anniversary, merchandise continues to be revealed, and now it is the Galar Region's fossil Pokemon time to shine. Pokemon has proven that any of its creatures can become plushies, and fans of the four rather unique creatures can look forward to getting their hands on plushies of these Pokemon very soon.

The fossil Pokemon from the Galar region are rather different from those of other regions in the Pokemon world. Unlike classic fossil Pokemon, which are based on a real-life ancient creature, the ones in Pokemon Sword and Shield are created from different creature combinations.

According to a post on Pokemon's Japanese site, the four fossil Pokemon, Dracozolt, Dracovish, Arctozolt, and Arctovish, will be available as plushies on April 27th. However, currently, it looks like these plushies will only be available on Pokemon Center Online, which does not deliver outside of Japan. However, it is not uncommon for merchandise from Japan to reach international stores after some time. For example, the very long Gigatamax Mewoth plush released in February 2021 came out first in Japan.

The fossil Pokemon of Galar has proven to be quite popular with fans, and this new take on a series staple is a mostly welcomed change. The four creatures have made an impact in the Pokemon Sword and Shield competitive sceneIt also appears that the marketing spotlight is shining on these adorable abominations right now. This announcement comes after the four fossil Pokemon were featured in an anime episode where Ash recently received Dracovish, and Goh caught Arctozolt.

While Pokemon Sword and Shield have proven to be divisive games in the community, it is nice to see some of their riskier moves being embraced. These four mistakes created by Doctor Cara Liss allowed Pokemon and Game Freak to try some stranger designs than normal and are quite charming.
