It is a sad day for the Forza Motorsport 7 franchise, as today is the final day that players can purchase the game digitally. If players have any interest in purchasing Forza Motorsport 7, now is the time.

Forza Motosport 7 is the most recent racing simulator in the longrunning Forza franchise, being released back in 2017. While the upcoming Forza Horizon 5 has over 400 cars to start with, Forza Motorsport 7 boasts a staggering 700 cars in the base game and over 100 more available through DLC. It was announced earlier this year that Forza Motorsport 7 was being delisted on September 15, 2021, with the Microsoft Store taking ample measures to make sure players can get the game if they want. From Game Pass availability, to heavy discounts, the game is ripe for playing, but not for much longer.

Forza Motorsport 7 is being delisted tomorrow, making today the final day for players to purchase the game digitially. As described in the original briefing by Jacob Norwood, this delisting means both the game and all of its DLC will no longer be purchaseable on the Microsoft Store or playable within Xbox Game Pass. Players who already own the game do not need to worry, as the game and its DLC can still be downloaded as usual. Each edition of the game is currently 75% off, with the standard being $9.99, the deluxe being $14.99, and the ultimate being $19.99.

The team at Turn 10 have also provided multiple opportunities for players in more special circumstances. For players who may have purchased DLC without owning the base Forza Motorsport 7, they should have already received a token through the Xbox Message Center, enabling them to continue playing the game. Token distribution ended on August 2, so if the previous circumstances are applicable, players should contact Xbox Support immediately. Similar routines happened for Forza Horizon 3's delisting when that game reached end-of-life status in 2020.

With Forza Horizon 5 just a few months away, and Forza Horizon 4 still currently available, fans of that classic Forza experience still have some titles they can play, though these are not true simulation titles. On the bright side, though, the termination of one Motorsport game places all eyes on the next one, which was announced back at Xbox Games Showcase during July 2020. Chances are Turn 10 and Microsoft are making room for this next Forza Motorsport game, which hopefully gets shown again soon.

Forza Motorsport 7 is available for PC and Xbox One.
