Playground Games has announced the latest expansion to Forza Horizon 5, Rally Adventure. The announcement comes nearly a month after Forza Horizon 5's JDM update where players saw the addition of new cars such as the Nissan Z, Toyota Sports 800, and a host of others. But the new update will be a much wider DLC expansion for fans.

The Forza Horizon franchise has grown to be one of the most popular open-world racing titles around, particularly due to how the games often incorporate visually stunning environments with their racing mechanics. Even as the series crossed a decade of existence, the developers have continued to offer numerous content updates and quality-of-life changes post-launch, ranging from new cars and cosmetics to raytracing in Forza Horizon 5. Its latest Rally Adventure expansion marks another intriguing addition to fans of the franchise.

Forza Horizon 5 Rally Adventure marks the second expansion for the title and will be centered around Sierra Nueva, "home to the dustiest and dirtiest races" in the game as per the company's announcement. Players will have the option of going through three teams, each offering a variety between offroad events, street-style rallies, and asphalt rallies. Each of these teams will include eight races before the final event and players who manage to take the lead in all three teams will unlock a special "Goliath route." The new expansion is scheduled to launch on March 29 and will be included with the existing premium add-ons bundle for Forza Horizon 5.

Apart from the selection of new locations, Rally Adventure will also feature new rally parts, an anti-lag system, along with launch control that comes as a new assist for all cars. Further, the expansion will add new cars in line with its rally theme, similar to last year's slew of new cars with the Forza Horizon 5 Hot Wheels DLC.

Early this year at Xbox's Developer_Direct event, the studio unveiled Forza Motorsport, the latest racing simulation entry under the franchise. While more details are yet to be released in the coming months, Forza Motorsport will include over 500 cars at launch. In any case, the addition of the numerous post-launch content updates to Forza Horizon 5 like its Rally Adventure expansion as well as the new racing simulator will be welcome news for fans of the series and the racing genre alike.

Forza Horizon 5 is available now for PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. The Rally Adventure expansion launches March 29.
