There are a lot of famous cars available in Forza Horizon 5, but they usually aren't readily available for purchase. The same is true for the iconic DeLorean DMC-12, which is most known for its inclusion as the time-traveling car in the Back to the Future trilogy of films.

Fans of the movies will want to get their hands on its steering wheel as soon as possible, but it's also important for those interested in completing their car collections in Forza Horizon 5.

How to Get the DeLorean in Forza Horizon 5

Forza Horizon 5 Series 1 Summer Wet Season Car Rewards

There are three ways to get the DeLorean in Forza Horizon 5:

To get the DeLorean as a free reward in Series 1, players must earn 26 Festival Playlist points before the weekly reset on Thursday, November 18. The rewards change to the Autumn Storm Season after this date.

There are lots of ways to earn Festival Playlist points during the Series 1 Summer Season, including finding the New Heights treasure, taking a photograph of Casa Bella, and taking part in The Eliminator, Forza Horizon 5's multiplayer battle royale mode.

Getting a specific car from a Wheelspin or Super Wheelspin isn't easy, but it is possible and means the DeLorean would be obtained without spending any Credits. However, the most consistent way to get a Delorean is to head to the Auction House, which lets players buy and sell cars to each other in Forza Horizon 5.

The Auction House can be located in the "Buy and Sell" menu while at the Horizon Festival. Players can fast travel to the festival by choosing "Buy New & Used Cars" from the "Cars" tab while out exploring the vast Mexican map.

Next, choose "Search Auctions" and change the "Make" to DeLorean. Press confirm to see all of the options. The famous car can be bought outright or bid on. The bottom-right of the screen will show players how long is left on each individual auction.

The DeLorean might not be the fastest car in Forza Horizon 5, but it can be tuned from its starting D Class all the way up to S2 if players wish to seriously compete in the Legendary vehicle. Tunes can be accessed from the "Garage" tab while at the Horizon Festival.

In "Upgrades and Tuning" players can either Auto Upgrade to a higher class, or use Custom Upgrade to tweak the car very specifically. Alternatively, a good tune made by other players can be obtained by using "Find Tuning Setups". This is the best way for newcomers to easily use an excellent tune setup.

Forza Horizon 5 is out now on PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
