Skill Points are earned naturally while playing Forza Horizon 5, but there is a quick way to farm them. Skill Points are needed to unlock Car Masteries, which contain some incredibly useful Perks that can net players XP, Super Wheelspins, Forzathon Points, and secret cars.

With the right vehicle and method, Forza Horizon 5 players could be getting nearly 10 Skill Points per minute. There's no cheating involved, but players need to dedicate a little bit of their playtime to farming points if they want to consistently unlock helpful Perks.

There's only one way to get Skill Points in Forza Horizon 5, and that's by building up and banking Skill Chains. Skill Chains can be created by drifting, hitting objects, doing specific turns, and catching air. The best and safest way to build a Skill Chain is to drift while smashing small objects.

As players can earn a maximum of 10 Skill Points per Skill Chain, it's recommended to bank the chain as soon as 500,000 is achieved. To bank a Skill Chain in Forza Horizon 5, players need to stop earning points by coming to a complete still without crashing. 500,000 may sound like a lot, but players only have to bank around 63,000 if the correct car is selected.

Certain vehicles have a Perk in their Car Masteries that applies a multiplier to Skill Chains. The highest Skill Point multiplayer is 8, which is why The Hoonicorn Mustang is the best car to farm Skill Points in. It's also one of the best Drift Cars in Forza Horizon 5, making it even more suited to farming Skill Points.

Best Method to Farm Skill Points in Forza Horizon 5

Forza Horizon 5 airstrip location on map

The best way to farm Skill Points in Forza Horizon 5 is to make/download a drift tune for a car with an x8 Skill Multiplier unlocked and build up a 63,000 Skill Chain by drifting and hitting small objects and then banking it. Any area suitable for drifting is preferred, including Drift Zones in Forza Horizon 5, as this is the main way a Skill Chain builds and continues.

However, one of the best areas to farm Skill Points is the airstrip in the southwestern area of the map, in the La Selva region. It has a huge runway, with no traffic, and plenty of small objects to hit while drifting. The fantastic Jaguar Sport XJR-15 is also available from the nearby barn find in Forza Horizon 5.

The airstrip also has a Drag Race for players to show off their fastest drag cars in Forza Horizon 5, but this event can also be used to speed up farming Skill Points. To do this, stop at the event start point at the end of a Skill Chain, and click into it---then exit without starting the race. This eliminates the time it takes for Skill Chains to bank.

Repeat this method to bank 10 Skill Points in just over a minute. They can then be used to unlock Perks in whatever vehicle a player chooses. One of the best ways to spend the points is on cars that have Super Wheelspins in Forza Horizon 5. These spins give players 3 chances to earn rare cars, Credits, Car Horns, Cosmetic items, and Emotes.

Forza Horizon 5 is out now for PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
