Forza Horizon 5 has a big emphasis on using its Photo Mode, which is understandable considering the outstanding graphical quality found across all Xbox consoles and PC. The Dust in the Lens Achievement has a specific photo request and asks players to take a picture of the Gran Telescopio in a dust storm.

It sounds like a simple task, but triggering a dust storm while at this location can take a long time. Thankfully, there is a very easy method to quickly unlock Dust in the Lens, and other photography-based Achievements in Forza Horizon 5.

Dust in the Lens Achievement Guide for Forza Horizon 5

Forza Horizon 5 Event Lab circled in Creative Hub

The easiest way to unlock the Dust in the Lens Achievement in Forza Horizon 5 is to play a pre-made Blueprint Event in the Eventlab. These are community-created presets that can alter the weather and other details of a specific area of the map. Some very helpful fans have already created Blueprints for all of the photography Achievements.

To search for the correct Blueprint Event and easily get the Dust in the Lens Achievement in Forza Horizon 5, 2021's highest-rated game:

  1. Pause the game, then tab to Creative Hub, and select Eventlab, then Event Blueprints.
  2. Click the View button on Xbox consoles to start a search.
  3. Scroll up to Title and type "Dust in the Lens," then navigate down and confirm.
  4. Select the Event Blueprint with the most likes.
  5. Choose Solo or Co-op, and any car to start the Event.

Once the Event has loaded, follow the blue line on the map. This will take players to the Gran Telescopio structure. Once here, press up on the d-pad to enter Photo Mode on Xbox consoles and tilt down on the left thumbstick to zoom out. Try to get as much of the telescope in the shot as possible, and then press A to take a picture. If the Achievement doesn't pop, players should try and get their car in the frame as well, and retake the photo.

Forza Horizon 5 Photo Mode

There are a lot of other tasks in the game that ask players to take advantage of Photo Mode, including Playlist challenges like finding Star 27's Mural in Forza Horizon 5. If a challenge ever asks for something reliant on weather, make sure to check the Eventlab to see if anybody has created the ideal conditions to complete the task.

Forza Horizon 5 is out now for PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
