With Microsoft and Turn 10 Studios preparing to push the Forza series into the next generation with Forza Motorsport for Xbox Series X, the two are preparing to leave one of their older games behind. In other words, Forza Horizon 3 is going to be delisted soon.

Speculation suggesting as much first emerged earlier this week, when it was discovered that Playground Games’ 2016 open-world racer is currently being sold for a hefty discount on the Microsoft Store. It’s been believed that the game will be delisted from the store once the sale wraps up on September 27, the fourth anniversary of its launch, as it would follow a consistent pattern set by Forza Horizon 2’s delisting in 2018 and Forza Motorsport 6’s the following year.

In the wake of the speculation, the official Forza Horizon Twitter confirmed that it’s true and the game is about to enter “End of Life” status, meaning Forza Horizon 3 and its DLC will no longer be available for purchase on the Microsoft Store. That doesn’t apply to the game itself, though, as its online features including multiplayer will still be accessible to players for the foreseeable future.

As of this writing, the Standard and Ultimate Editions of Forza Horizon 3 are available on the Microsoft Store for $9.89 and $20.99, respectively, a sizable discount from their usual prices of $29.99 and $69.99. That should give newcomers who got into the series with Forza Horizon 4 incentive to give its prequel a try, if they haven’t already.

Forza Horizon 3 is available for PC and Xbox One, but will be removed from the Microsoft Store on September 27.
