In January, Fortnite fans woke to the news of a major return in the battle royale. Epic Games had brought back one of Fortnite's most iconic locations, Tilted Towers. What had once been Fortnite's most popular drop location had been destroyed, brought back, and destroyed again. This time, Fortnite fans considered, might be different. Yet recent Fortnite leaks are hinting at the opposite. Tilted Towers' cursed existence may once again be approaching its inevitable doom.Fortnite leaker FortTory is sounding the alarm about the danger Tilted Towers is facing once more. As Fortnite players know, the Imagined Order have appeared across the map at multiple locations, having used mechanical drills do dig out of the earth and into the map area. What players may not know is that these drills are soon going to start causing earthquakes across the map. And these earthquakes are then going to start creating craters. What happens next is a mystery, but Tilted Towers is clearly at risk.RELATED: Fortnite Uncharted Skins Available NowTwo different events are going to happen in Fortnite soon. Earthquakes are the first, with dozens of locations potentially experiencing the shaking and loud noises in a given match. The craters are the second event. According to FortTory, there are just three locations where craters will occur. All three are nearby Tilted Towers, forming a triangle that surrounds the map location. If the Imagined Order were trying to bring down Tilted Towers, it could look a lot like this.

There's no actual evidence that Tilted Towers is being brought down, of course. It's just a theory based on the progression of earthquakes and craters that should be released over the coming weeks in Fortnite, as well as a general fear that the towers could be brought down given the location's history in Fortnite. The worry could all be for nothing.

One other theory, however, is that Epic Games is having fun with the situation. Perhaps Epic has decided to bring Tilted Towers down again, perhaps it hasn't, but it's unlikely that Epic didn't know it would trigger a lot of speculation about Tilted Towers with the placement of these craters. What happens next could depend on Fortnite fan reactions and whatever Epic thinks will be more fun.

It could be some time yet before the conclusion of Epic's plans, with all the earthquakes and craters, comes to fruition. This may only be a glimpse of a grander picture. The Imagined Order's plans are certainly much larger than just sinking Tilted Towers. It's going to be exciting seeing where Chapter 3 will go this season.

Fortnite is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and mobile devices.
