In Epic Game’s Fortnite Battle Royale mode anything can and will happen. Typically, players duel it out in an ever-decreasing space until one is left, but occasionally that "one" claims victory in a unique way. As was the case with Twitch streamer CashNastyGaming, who found himself with nowhere to hide and one opponent still left alive.

As shown in the video below, the Twitch streamer was unable to locate his opponent while the storm closed in around him. Normally, a Fortnite player would simply be able to go to a different zone to get out of the storm, but in this case there was nowhere to go. Lucky for CashNastyGaming, he apparently had more health than the other player left alive.

For those that might not be familiar with Fortnite Battle Royale, the basic concept involves 100 players dropping into a large open map with lots of major conflict areas. As soon as they land, the players collect weapons and eliminate one another until either the single player or their team remains.

To encourage conflict, though, Fortnite (and most battle royale games) force players into a smaller area by an ever-closing boundary that damages any caught outside it. In Fortnite’s case that boundary is the storm that brings the undead in Fortnite’s Save the World mode. It is that same storm that completely closes around the streamer and eliminates his opponent.

Although Fortnite was originally pitched as a horde mode style game with building mechanics, the battle royale spin-off has become a phenomenon. From amazing plays to impressive records, Fortnite players show that the battle royale mode can be an entertaining watch and that the “cartoon-y graphics” should not be a reason to dismiss the experience.

And players seem to be taking notice too, as Fortnite recently surpassed PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds’ record for concurrent players. Plenty will argue that one game delivers a better experience than the other, but what really matters is whether it’s fun to play and fun to watch, and based on this Twitch clip there are plenty of crazy moments to see.

Fortnite Battle Royale is available for free on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
