Whiplash is one of many vehicles featured in Epic Games' battle royale Fortnite, and the speedy car has been added to Rocket League. Epic Games first bought the developer of Rocket League known as Psyonix back in 2019, and since then the two games have collaborated a couple of times, but the latest crossover allows Fortnite fans to drive around the soccer field in a Whiplash. The Fortnite and Rocket League social channels have both revealed that fans of the Psyonix vehicular soccer game can complete challenges in order to unlock the Whiplash for free. The first Fortnite Llama-Rama event in 2020 allowed fans of the battle royale to finish quests in order to unlock unique Fortnite cosmetics in Rocket League like a DJ Yonder topper for their cars. The most recent Llama-Rama event allowed Fortnite fans to unlock an Octane Cruiser Back Bling and Renegade Blaze Contrail, which expanded Fortnite lockers as Rocket League garages filled up as well.RELATED: Rocket League Confirms Season 8 PlansThe Rocket League car roster has grown as it often does through updates with the addition of the Whiplash, which Fortnite fans can unlock between now and December 3. Rocket League players who complete at least eight of the "High Octane" limited-time quests will receive the impressive sports car, a set of Whiplash Wheels, and four Whiplash Decals. These decals include flame, stripe, wing, and lightning themes that Rocket League fans can choose between in order to customize their ideal turbocharged car to take shots on the net with.

Beyond simply unlocking the Whiplash in Rocket League by completing the limited-time challenges, players will also receive the free car in the mobile game Rocket League: Sideswipe. Fortnite players that modify the Whiplash with off-road tires and a Cow Catcher can explore the massive battle royale island at impressive speeds like the Rocket League vehicles can by using the refillable boost charge. Although the Whiplash coming to Rocket League won't be as moddable as it is in Fortnite, the sleek and sporty design of it may result in the vehicle becoming a new favorite for some players.

While most Fortnite cosmetics are added to Rocket League via the Llama-Rama events, this Whiplash and its associated bundle are the only thing currently on offer in this collaboration. As multiple fans expressed their appreciation for the Whiplash being added to Rocket League, others noted how fitting the move is after Octane was added to Fortnite.

Rocket League is available now for Mac, Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
