While most of Fortnite's Season 3 Week 9 challenges are fairly straightforward, some of them do require players to navigate to locations that are not specifically indicated on the game's map. Case in point: one of the challenges instructs fans to collect Metal at Hydro 16, and indeed not every player will know exactly where to find this named location. Fortunately, it is quite easy to reach Hydro 16 in Fortnite Season 3, and this guide is here to help fans do just that.

To get right to it, Hydro 16 is the dam that Fortnite players can find directly to the east of Slurpy Swamp. Its impressive size makes Hydro 16 quite difficult to miss, but the following map should fully clarify its exact location for those fans that are still having some trouble finding it:

To note, the road above the dam and the power station that sits below it are both considered to be part of Hydro 16, and the second of these two locations is a great place to get the Metal that is required for this new Fortnite Season 3 Week 9 challenge. Indeed, there are a bevy of metal structures to be found in the buildings and outside of them at the Hydro 16 power station, and fans that are working on this challenge should plan to drop there at the beginning of their matches.

That said, there are sure to be many Fortnite players doing exactly that in these early days of Week 9. This coupled with the fact that fans must collect a total of 200 Metal at Hydro 16 means that the challenge may need to be completed over several matches. While this is certainly not catastrophic, a bit of additional patience may be required with this particular challenge.

It is worth mentioning that there is another new weekly challenge to complete over at The Fortilla, which is not extremely far from Hydro 16. In this challenge, players will need to get three Eliminations at this location, and fans may want to consider going over there after they have collected all of the Metal that they can at the dam and associated power station.

Additionally, there is a Gold XP Coin that hovers in the air directly next to the Hydro 16 dam, and this weekly challenge may present a good opportunity for players that have not already collected it to do so. That said, fans will need a vehicle, such as a helicopter, to be able to pickup this Gold XP Coin, which may make the matter a bit complicated.

Fortnite is available now on Android, iOS, PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One, with PS5 and Xbox Series X versions in development.
