Right at the start of Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3, players usually get tons of quests so they can start increasing their season level and unlocking Battle Pass tiers right away. To introduce players to this new season, Epic Games added a series of Snapshots Quests to Fortnite. The first set is called Aura's Quests, but there is more than meets the eye when it comes to these tasks.

There is actually a hidden mission that's part of the Snapshots Quests. This guide will show players how they can trigger the hidden Snapshots Quest and receive some easy XP in Fortnite.

Prism Location

Chapter 4 Season 3 added three new POIs: Rumble Ruins, Shady Stilts, and Creeky Compound. On top of these new named locations, a few landmarks also appeared in the surrounding areas.

The Apparatus is a new landmark in the jungle biome; it's located directly east of Rumble Ruins, and it's here that players can find the Prism required to start the secret quest.

The Prism is a blue crystal that can be found on the bottom floor of the western entrance of The Apparatus. It's inside a small nook underneath the X-shaped structure. To grab it, gamers only need to approach it and press "Collect."

Where to Deliver the Prism

As soon as players collect The Prism, they will have officially initiated the hidden quest. A quest notice will appear on their screen, telling them to bring the Prism to Trace at The Apparatus.

It's easy for landmark and NPC names to go unnoticed, especially when players are still getting to know the newly added map areas. So, many gamers might be unaware of who Trace is and where he can be found. Trace is one of eight Chapter 4 Season 3 Battle Pass skins, but he's also a character that can be spoken to on the Battle Royale map. Trace can be found wandering around on top of The Apparatus landmark. A speech bubble will appear on the mini-map, marking his position.

To deliver the Prism, players need to talk to Trace and select the "hand over Prism" interaction. It's possible to talk to him even if he's been eliminated, so if he's turned hostile, gamers can simply take him down and then talk to him.

iFireMonkey, a known Fortnite leaker, has revealed that there will be three additional hidden quests. Players will be able to continue to hunt down Prisms that they can then bring to Trace at The Apparatus in upcoming Snapshots Quests. It is likely that the other Prisms will be hidden in other areas of the map.

It's definitely worth doing this simple quest if the player is near The Apparatus; completing this task will reward them with a total of 20,000 XP. At the moment, there is no expiration date for the Snapshots Quests, so it is unknown how much longer they'll be available.

Fortnite is available now on Mobile, PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
