In Fortnite, it's not uncommon for weapons to come and go. However, it's not as usual for gameplay elements to make a return after some time. Oddly enough, Chapter 4 Season 3 brought back Raptors, and they've been improved.

When Raptors were first added to Fortnite, the map was completely different compared to Chapter 4, so players won't find Raptors in the same areas as before. This guide will help gamers find Raptors in Fortnite, and it'll show them exactly how they can tame them and bring them along during a match.

Where to Find Raptors

Chapter 4 Season 3 added the new jungle biome to Fortnite, and along with it came many other game mechanics, such as Hop Flowers, Wildwasps, and Raptors.

Gamers can find Raptors in the entire jungle biome; they wander around the place all the way from the Northern Ruin landmark, north of Shady Stilts, down to the Southern Ruin landmark, northeast of Rumble Ruins.

Raptors are noisy, so players that have turned on the Visualize Sound Effects option in Settings will be able to see their direction marked on their screen.

How to Tame Raptors

Raptors are hostile creatures, so they will attack as soon as they spot any player they're not familiar with. The only way to prevent this from happening is to tame them.

There are two ways to tame Raptors in Fortnite. If the player finds a Raptor in the wild, they can jump on his back to attempt to ride him. This will cause hearts to appear over its head, which indicates that it's been tamed.

Alternatively, gamers will see patches of dirt on the ground where they can find Raptors eggs ready to hatch. To get the creatures to come out of their shell, players must approach the eggs and press and hold the "Hatch" button to help them. This Raptor will be automatically tamed as soon as it's born, and it'll be loyal to whoever helped hatch it.

A tamed Raptor will follow the player around without trying to attack it, and it will allow its owner to ride it. It will also stay away from any teammates and attack any opponents that might appear.

Players with a tamed Raptor should consider activating the Primal Companion Reality Augment since it allows them to regenerate health and use thermal vision while riding an animal.

The Raptor is a great mobility option in Fortnite. It sprints pretty fast, and if players jump while it's sprinting, it'll jump about three stories high. Gamers should also be careful of their position because if they jump off a cliff, the Raptor will suffer fall damage.

Fortnite is available now for Mobile, PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
