Fortnite's mega popular battle royale mode is free-to-play, but the game still manages to earn millions of dollars thanks to its unique cosmetic items. Some of the most popular Fortnite cosmetics have consisted of unique character skins that help players stand out from the 99 other combatants, and Reddit user RexSadio has created one that would definitely turn some heads.

RexSadio has created a concept for a Fortnite werewolf skin that would evolve as players earn kills. At the start of a match, players will look normal except for a gash on their ribs, apparently from a werewolf attack. At three kills, they become a little freakier, as their eyes start glowing red, fangs protrude from their mouth, and their clothes star to tear. At five kills, the transformation is basically complete, as players grow sharp claws, and their body is covered in fur as well as the blood of their enemies.

RexSadio's skin concept is interesting because it could potentially influence the way people play the game. A common strategy in battle royale titles like Fortnite and PUBG is for players to spend a lot of the game hiding from others, but this skin would put an emphasis on racking up kills over simply surviving to the end.

Whether or not Epic Games would consider a skin concept like this remains to be seen, however. As it stands, the more traditional skins that are already in the game seem to please fans as it is, and so the developers may want to stick with them. Plus, Epic has been releasing new skins at a steady rate, so it's not like fans are hurting for new cosmetics.

While RexSadio's werewolf transformation skin is a unique concept, it doesn't seem likely that it will be added to Fortnite. However, that doesn't mean Epic Games doesn't have plenty of new content planned for the game, and in fact, it just added a guided missile rocket less than a week ago. As the game continues to grow in popularity, fans should be able to expect the updates to keep coming.

Fortnite is available now for iOS devices and in early access on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
