When Fortnite season 6 first launched, a new set of challenges came with it, but to the surprise of many, they were much simpler than before. Although knowing where to find the spotlight locations took a bit of work, others did not such as the drinking shield potions and landing in certain named locations challenges. These came with little time and attention.
However, a recent and massive leak of the week 2, week 3, and week 4 challenges shows players that this will not be setting a precedent for the season. Of course, this is just a leak and should be taken with the appropriate grain of salt. It is also possible that some of these challenges are changed before they are meant to go live or simply serve as placeholders for challenges Epic wants to keep under wraps.
Regardless, if that proves to be true for the most difficult Fortnite challenges shown below, several are much harder than the typical challenge. Take the week 2 free staged challenge that begins with players dealing 200 damage with a standard assault rifle, for example. Since there are four other stages, this means it requires a minimum of five matches. It also necessitates finding the appropriate weapon, whether it's rotating rarity or weapon type, and being able to deal that much damage.
Of course, each stage could be done across multiple matches, but each of the aforementioned variables also come into play. It even appears a similar staged challenge with sniper rifles is set to occur. Check out the full leak below:
Week 3 isn't as difficult as week 2, but many will likely be confused by the "ring the doorbell" challenge, as it certainly requires players to observe, understand, and watch their opponents. The chaos of such a challenge will inevitably make this much harder, as it basically alerts opponents to their location.
Many will likely hope that the last week 4 free challenge - dealing 1,000 damage to opponents in a single match - is a placeholder. Depending on shields, this means anywhere from five to 10 kills in a single match. While pros and diehards of the game may not have too much difficulty with this challenge, "casuals" and less-skilled players certainly will.
Unfortunately, we will not know what these challenges mean until they go live, but if these leaks are any indication, it seems like challenges are being more directed toward its serious players than before. This will certainly make climbing the Battle Pass that much harder, but for those who manage to do so, that much more rewarding.
