Epic Games has a positive track record with addressing Fortnite's issues. Most of the time, the developers are on top of bugs and fixes, not condoning any down time in their game and wanting players to have a good experience. Now, Fortnite's developers have taken to Reddit to elaborate on some of the fixes they're currently working on.

Design lead EpicEric addressed a multitude of issues, including peeking, weapon swapping, and locking up the guided missile. The guided missile was recently removed from the game due to an animation issue, but thanks to player backlash it seems it will be locked up indefinitely.

"We’ve gotten a lot of feedback around the Guided Missile, in particular concerns over fairness and strength of the weapon. We share your concerns, so we’ve put the Guided Missile into the vault while we figure out the next steps for its future."

The other issues revolve around gameplay changes. When peeking, a recent fix implemented by the v3.5 patch has led to players accidentally shooting their own structures. In the next update, EpicEric assures fans they'll be taking a look at this and seeing what they can do. Aside from that, weapon switching will also be refined in an upcoming hotfix later today.

"Snipers and Crossbows do not benefit as much from quick switching, so we’ll be reverting the equip time changes for those weapons.

We will be keeping the delay for the remaining weapons with the new behavior - Shotguns, Revolver, Hand Cannon, and Rocket Launcher. Note: All other weapons do not have equip times.

Weapon equip animations will be improved in a future update. These are unfortunately somewhat misleading - it’s possible to fire sooner than the gun appears ready, so they feel more sluggish than they really are. You may notice this on a few weapons."

When the v3.5 patch was originally released a little over a week ago, Fortnite had to undergo emergency maintenance in order to come back online. With the game receiving biweekly updates, the issues caused by the previous patch are being addressed now, and Epic Games is sure to let players know when it has been at fault and how it intends to correct its problems.

Other fixes coming to the game soon include the SMG reload bug, which didn't allow players to shoot the gun unless they reloaded it multiple times. Overall, fans will be pleased to hear that Epic continues to take their feedback into account and is making fixes at a steady pace.

Fortnite is available now in early access for iOS, PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
