Epic Games is holding another movie presentation in Fortnite, featuring Opus United's We The People x More Than A Vote. Those who attend this follow-up to the 4th of July's movie presentation will get a free dance emote for joining in the presentation.

The ongoing nationwide protests over George Floyd's death via police brutality have been going on for nearly two months now, and many companies have been giving their two cents on the events. Epic Games has been one of these companies, and the people there certainly look to be sympathetic to the protesters. Even some of their more subtle changes to Fortnite seem to be very aware of the current climate in America.

This is why Fortnite's next movie presentation will bring back Opus United, which describes itself as "a multi-disciplined, high-performing collective of strategists, creatives, executives, athletes, and entertainers who know how to power world-class brands." The first showed up in Fortnite when they aired We The People on Independence Day, and on July 28th, Fortnite players will get to see the first screening of the follow-up We The People x More Than A Vote. The trailer's description describes the film as "a series of conversations that bring together a coalition of athletes and entertainers to inspire and empower young adults to take action against the voter suppression crisis that is disproportionately impacting Black communities."

We The People x More Than A Vote features a variety of prominent black figures. Journalist Cari Champion will be hosting the movie and will feature conversations with actress and comedian Yvonne Orji, professional baseball player Jason Heyward, rappers Russ and Bun B, and basketball player turned sports host Jalen Rose. The screenings will start at 7 pm Eastern on July 28th on the Island's Big Screen during the Party Royale mode, and the movie will repeat every other hour for 22 hours. Those who attend the event at any point will be given a free "Verve" emote, modeled after the dance submitted by Emote Royale Contest winner Michael Mejeh and his brother Jamie.

The Independence Day screening isn't the first time Fortnite has aired movies or music. Fortnite has seen concerts with Diplo and Jordan Fisher, airings of Christopher Nolan movies to build hype for his (now indefinitely delayed) movie Tenet, and more. Sometimes these crossover events held major bits of the plot not in the original movie, such as a speech from Emperor Palpatine referenced in the opening crawl of The Rise of Skywalker.
