Fortnite's Operation Snowdown event is now underway, and it features a variety of new challenges for players to complete. A number of these seasonal challenges center around the Snowmando outposts that are now appearing across map, and indeed fans will find themselves looting chests and dealing damage at these structure before everything is said and done. In an attempt to assist with these endeavors, this guide is here to clarify exactly where players can find the outposts in Fortnite.

To begin, there are a total of five Snowmando outposts, and they can be found to the west of Pleasant Park, to the south of Steamy Stacks, to the southeast of Catty Corner, and both to the west and east of Weeping Woods. Fortnite players should be able to identify these structures quite easily, as they are covered with seasonal decorations, and they are likely to encounter a number of them through standard gameplay. That said, here is a map highlighting the locations of all the Snowmando outposts for full clarity:

With the locations of these structures established, it is very important to mention that there are currently some issues with the Snowmando outposts in Fortnite. More specifically, some players are discovering that these buildings are not spawning consistently in their matches, making it quite difficult to complete some of the new Fortnite challenges. Players can try to work around this bug by loading into new matches until they find the outpost, or they can simply wait for Epic Games to address the problem.

One other thing to say about the Snowmando outposts is that they also serve as the spawn locations for planes in Fortnite Season 5. Indeed, aircrafts are now back in the game after being vaulted for nearly two years, and many players will undoubtedly want to take them for a spin. Again, the current instability of the Snowmando outposts makes obtaining a plane a bit more difficult than it should be, but fans should still be able to get airborne with some patience and persistence.

For those players that are curious, each of the challenges that center around the Snowmando outposts reward 10,000 XP upon their completion. Additionally, they will put fans one step closer to earning the Snowmando and Frost Squad skins, which come after completing nine and 12 Operation Snowdown quests. As such, fans that are still working on Fortnite's Season 5 Battle Pass as well as those that are simply looking to get some new cosmetics can find something to love in this holiday event.

Fortnite is free-to-play for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
