Vi from League of Legends, and one of the lead characters of Netflix’s smash hit series Arcane, is officially coming to Fortnite. Epic Games has never been shy about crossing over many characters from several different popular franchises into Fortnite, with this season alone seeing characters from Gears of War and even Spider-Man.

When picking from the vast amount of characters to crossover into another video game, one doesn’t have to look farther than the ensemble from League of Legends. With over 150 champions to choose from, there are many characters that can suit the world that Epic Games has crafted. However, with the release of Arcane on Netflix last fall, the popularity of specific characters became very prominent, making the choice of which characters to bring into the massively popular game quite easy.

Epic officially announced that Vi, one of Arcane’s protagonists, would officially be available in the Fortnite Item Shop as of January 22. As part of the Arcane: League of Legends Set, players are able to purchase the Arcane Vi Bundle, the all-in-one package that comes with the Memories of Zaun Back Bling, the Piltover Warden Hammer Pickaxe, and the Punching Practice Emote, as well as the additional Piltover’s Finest Loading Screen that is exclusive to the bundle.

In addition to Vi’s arrival on the island, her sister Jinx, who made her debut in Fortnite earlier last year, will also be available to purchase from the item shop again. In addition to her Arcane Jinx outfit, her set consists of the Jinx’s Dream Monkey Back Bling, the Pow Pow Crusher Pickaxe, and the Playground (instrumental) Lobby Track, in addition to a Spray emote and two new loading screens.

With Jinx and Vi serving as two of the most popular characters to come from the League of Legends franchise with the success of Arcane, their inclusion in Fortnite was unsurprising, yet still very welcome. Their inclusion marks two new additions to the Gaming Legends series of Fortnite characters, which also includes iconic gaming characters such as Kratos from God of War and Master Chief from Halo.

With Fortnite showing no signs of slowing down when it comes crossover content with other franchises, it’s exciting to see another series make its way over to the island. And with new story details indicating where Chapter 3 is heading, it seems the Foundation and The Seven will need all the help they can get.

Fortnite is now available for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
