Not too long ago, Epic Games' official launch of Fortnite's Season 5 saw the developer add a new vehicle dubbed the All-Terrain Kart (ATK), with the mode of transportation being large enough to carry a four-person squad to their destination of choice. Now, though, it looks as if the studio could be planning on making the ATKs customizable by introducing skins for the wildly popular multiplayer sandbox survival shooter's golf buggy.

As seen in the tweet below, a datamine of Fortnite's game files points to the possibility of Epic Games adding what are called "Vehicle Decorations", with many speculating it means All-Terrain Karts could become yet another way for players to express themselves via cosmetics. Interestingly enough, it appears as if the first decoration to be tested will be a Llama Mesh model that could be designed to wrap around the ATKs.

While it definitely looks like All-Terrain Karts will be getting skins of some kind at some point in the future, there's no telling when or if they actually will be implemented as a permanent feature, as Epic Games has said before that a lot of assets will only be incorporated for limited-time trial runs or won't be used at all. For instance, some players previously found what is called an Eye of the Storm Tracker in the title's files, and the developer even once accidentally added it into the game, only to quickly take it out and say that there's no promise it will ever officially release.

Taking all of this into consideration, it's safe to say at this point in time that there's no telling when or if we will see Fortnite's All-Terrain Karts become customizable with cosmetic skins down the line. Nevertheless, fans can at least expect Epic Games to remain diligent in ensuring that Season 5 remains flush with content in order to keep the player base engaged with the title for the foreseeable future.

Fortnite is available now for Nintendo Switch, iOS, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
