While a majority of Fortnite's Season 7 Week 3 Epic Quests are quite straightforward, there are some that may leave players slightly confused. For instance, one of these new challenges instructs fans to use Nuts and Bolts, and the way that is done may not be immediately obvious. It is with that in mind that this guide is being written, and players can find full details on how to complete Fortnite's "use Nuts and Bolts" challenge in what follows.

The first step to tackling this task is to find some Nuts and Bolts in Fortnite, and they come from a variety of different sources. Those sources include the red toolboxes that are scattered across the map and the UFOs that are hovering above it, though they are not the easiest ones to pursue. Indeed, it is much simpler to just buy Nuts and Bolts from Rick Sanchez at Defiant Dish, a Landmark that is just to the east of Weeping Woods.

After purchasing some Nuts and Bolts from this Fortnite Season 7 NPC, players should use them in their crafting. For full clarity, this is done by opening up the Inventory menu, tabbing over to "Crafting," and then selecting a suitable weapon from the Loadout section at the bottom. This action will bring up a new menu where players can combine the chosen weapon with some Nuts and Bolts, and they will need to do this a total of three times in order to complete the task at hand.

For those players that are curious, the reward for finishing the "use Nuts and Bolts" challenge is 30,000 XP. This reward will undoubtedly excite players that are looking to unlock some of the cosmetic items on the latest Battle Pass, as it will push them ever closer to earning more Battle Stars in Fortnite Season 7. Notably, this is just one of many opportunities to make some easy XP at the time of writing, as there are currently a myriad of other quests available.

One of those additional quests asks players to travel between Porta-Potties in Fortnite, and there are a couple of good spots to complete it. More specifically, there are suitable Porta-Potties in both Corny Complex and Catty Corner, and fans may want to visit one of these locations after buying Nuts and Bolts from Rick. Alternatively, players could head over to Pleasant Park or Lazy Lake, as there is currently a Legendary Quest that centers around placing welcome signs at these named locations.

Fortnite is now available on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
