Fortnite Season 7 continues to change things up in regards to the ongoing alien invasion. Starting Tuesday morning, Fornite players were actually able to enter the massive spaceship that's been hovering over the map since the beginning of the current season.

UFOs have been having a rather massive impact on Fortnite even before Season 7 kicked off. Quite a few game influencers received hints at what was coming next towards the end of Season 6. Then once the current season did start, players saw their avatars getting abducted and transported to parts of the map quite a distance away from where they were. Not long after that, users were able to get in smaller ships and fly around the world. Now, they're finally able to get inside what can only be described as the "mother ship" in order to explore and play a special mini-game.

Fortnite players who enter the giant ship find themselves able to explore a low gravity dungeon that features many of the greatest hits from past seasons. Fortunately, those locations include areas like the Butter Barn, among several others that have since disappeared from the main map.

Once entering the low-gravity dungeon, players have 90 seconds to collect as many alien orbs as possible. The more orbs collected, the more Fortnite loot users receive upon leaving the dungeon. Collecting timer orbs also comes in handy since it will extend the time players have to run around the area.

Once time is up inside the orb collection area, users will briefly be allowed to visit a treasure room that allows players to to raid the same kinds of chests that are also scattered around the regular map. Once the chests are adequately drained, it's back to the battle royale Fortnite is so famous for in the gaming world.

According to Eurogamer, dataminers believe they've found the next area that will be affected by the alien invasion in Fortnite. It's expected to be a rather major area, though it's not entirely clear just which one it will be. There are already some places that appear to be disappearing from the map, though some believe that's more glitch related than any real plan from the aliens. However, it's possible Epic Games is quietly having the mother ship remove these areas are part of a stealthy way of changing up the game for players. Whether its intentional, or a bug that needs to be fixed will likely be made more clear in the coming days.

Fortnite is now available for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
