Fortnite had a great charity event that featured NFL Players and famous streamers called the Twitch Rival Streamer Bowl. But in spite of it being a charity event, there was cheating on the field that rubbed some Fortnite fans the wrong way.

Fortnite has a lot of famous streamers, and is one of most played games in the world (it was the most downloaded game on Nintendo Switch and other consoles in 2019). It's no surprise that both charities and celebrities would want to get in on the Fortnite popularity to bring in new players and money for great causes.

For this charity event, popular streamers like Tfue and TimTheTatman were teamed up with NFL players like JuJu Smith-Schuster and D.K. Metcalf. Fortnite and the NFL have made alliances before, releasing NFL Fortnite skins to celebrate the Super Bowl. The winning team gets to choose a charity for the $500,000 donation to go to.

However, one streamer decided to knowingly land out of the allowed zone. The Twitch stream clip shows the player NickEh30 saying to his partner that they could land outside of the allowed zone, telling David Morgan that "It's okay; we get a warning." Many fans on Reddit were showing their distaste for cheating during a charity event. While it is nice to win, cheating to win kind of defeats the whole purpose of a casual charity event. It's not even the first time a Fortnite player has been caught cheating at a major event, like the 1,200 players caught cheating at the World Cup back in April 2019. Fortnite Reddit fans called the move things like "Kinda scummy."

For a professional streamer to cheat on a live stream, especially for a charity event, is considered unforgivable by many. While they did just get a warning, the move was incredibly shady. It allowed NickEh30 to sneak up on another player, getting an easy kill since the other team was not expecting someone to come out of the tournament-imposed zones. The move can make all Fortnite streamers look bad, even the nice ones like the streamer who paid off his mom's student loans with his stream money. It would be incredibly surprising to ever see NickEh30 invited back to another charity event ever again.

Fortnite is available for PlayStation 4, Android, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, iOS, Microsoft Windows, and Macintosh operating systems.
