Fortnite's popular Trios Limited Time Mode is back after just a brief hiatus. Players can log into Epic Games' popular battle royale game right now and queue up with two of their best friends, a break from the traditional Solos, Duos, and Squads queues. The Trios queue remains an LTM, which means that it could disappear at any time.

For those unfamiliar with the Trios LTM, it's a standard mode, meaning there's nothing different between it and the other normal Fortnite queues: Solos, Duos, and Squads. The only difference is that the queue requires three players. It's the perfect option for groups of three that just can't seem to find a fourth friend online and aren't to play with random teammates.

Trios was introduced on January 31 and was disabled as a result of the powerhouse LTM combination that was Team Rumble, which hosted the ridiculously popular Marshmello concert on Saturday, and the NFL Rumble introduced Sunday to celebrate the Super Bowl. Trios was apparently so popular that it made sense to replace Team Rumble today since the Marshmello excitement has wound down.

Considering the context of Trios' return, it's difficult to say whether the LTM was truly brought back into the game due to popularity and community request or if this is just part of Fortnite's normal schedule. That is if Trios was intended to last a week or two but was disrupted due to the concert and football events. Suffice it to say, Trios may not be as popular as it's made out to be, so today's return may not be the evidence of it soon joining Fortnite's other main queues that some community members believe it to be.

Fortnite is available now on Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, Xbox One, and mobile devices.
