A few days ago, Fortnite fans got their first glimpse at a creator support program for the battle royale game. However, a few eagled-eye fans noted a new tournament tab in the UI of the game in the program showcase. This led to some serious datamining that unveiled loads of info about the forthcoming addition.

Apparently, an alpha tournament is set to run from Oct 16 to Oct 21, with several occurring every so often thereafter. Each tournament contains a unique image, which can be seen below, and has their own unique name. According to this leak, the Tomato Temple Cup is a Duos tournament, the Salty Springs Cup is a Solo tournament, and Fortnite Friday Night is a Squads tournament.

For those who achieve the coveted Victory Royale in these tournaments, they will earn something called "Shiny Pins." As of now, there hasn't been much information discovered concerning these rewards, but dataminers were able to discover players need at least 20 points throughout the tournament, with it possible to get up to 6 points by multiple eliminations and surviving against competition in any given match. Check out some of the leaks here:

Of course, until there is an official announcement, players shouldn't hold their breath, as these assets could be changed for any number of reasons. Since the alpha tournament supposedly begins in a few days, players should learn something more solid pretty soon, but as always, that is up to Epic Game's discretion. Nevertheless, alongside the Fortnite gifting system leak, it seems that the company captains a rather leaky ship.

In the meantime, there's still plenty to do in the wildly popular battle royale game. For those who completed this week's latest challenges, here's where to find the season 6 week 3 hidden battle star., which gives players a free tier. Fortnite players should likely tier up their Battle Pass as much as possible prior to the release of these tournaments, although there is no indication as to requirements (if any) to participate in tournaments.

Fortnite is out now in early access for Android, iOS, PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One
