Once again, it appears Tilted Towers is in the crosshairs. Because it is the largest, high-intensity zone in the wildly popular battle royale game Fortnite, it has often been considered the target for map changes, going all the way back to the comets in season 4. Now a new leak suggests Tilted Towers will be changed for Season 7, with the popular location being destroyed by robots.

Of course, before proceeding, it's worth mentioning that this is a leak and should be treated accordingly with a healthy dose of salt. With that in mind, however, it lines up with everything theorized thus far with the season 6 loading screens. The appearance of the A.I.M. Robot skin in those screens has long been thought to tie in with Fortnite season 7, and now, we may know how.

As seen below, new code for the game clearly outlines the destruction of Tilted Towers. Furthermore, it appears the robots come equipped with a rocket launcher, grenade launcher, LMG, and a hand cannon. The most likely resulting scenario seems to be that these robots destroy Tilted Towers, turn it into some form of base, and patrol the new location.

This could mean that robots serve as season 7's PvEvP element, much like season 6's Fortnitemares event that saw the introduction of cube monsters. However, these robots seem much deadlier and could turn Tilted Towers into a more literal war zone, as the above code also mentions immortality and infinite ammo. If this proves to be true, it could be a major shake-up in the Fortnite meta.

Of course, with Fortnite season 6 coming to an end on December 6, players will learn if this leak proves to be true sooner rather than later. While it definitely sounds intriguing, Tilted Towers has a reputation for avoiding these events, but perhaps Epic Games has decided its time for Tilted Towers to finally change.

Fortnite is out now in early access for Android, iOS, PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
