Like Kratos, who was added to Fortnite earlier in the month, players will be able to purchase the skins using V-bucks when they are finally available. Both characters resemble their TV actors with Daryl being equipped with his classic crossbow while Michonne has her katana for melee combat. Currently, it's unknown if players can buy the skins separately or in a special bundle pack, but given the availability options of other special skins in the game, its a safe bet there will be multiple packs available.

The addition of characters from The Walking Dead weren't the only announcements made involving Fortnite tonight, as Halo's Master Chief was also announced for the game and is available now. Chief comes with several skin variations and, in addition, players can expect a special map pertaining to one of Halo's most popular multiplayer maps, Blood Gulch to be added to the game. Blood Gulch will be playable in the game as of December 11.

Fortnite has celebrated 2020 with several crossovers throughout the year including a recent crossover with the popular Disney Plus series, The Mandolorian. Players can now dawn the Beskar armor play as the lowly bounty hunter in the game while trying to earn a Victory Royale. Din Djarin is accompanied by his unique weapons, usable jet-pack, and of course, baby Yoda, now officially known as Grogu.

The addition of The Mandolorian came at the conclusion of an major crossover with Marvel comics that lasted several months within Fortnite. While the crossover did end with an epic battle against Galactus, Epic Games has stated that the Marvel crossover will continue in the future with more characters and boss battles planned, though nothing is currently announced.

Fortnite's success in 2020 can be attributed to Epic's dedication to the game and its unique crossovers with several well known brands. Similar to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, which itself saw the addition of Sephiroth at the award show, Fortnite continues to add unique crossovers to the game and mixing several celebrated characters in the chaotic battles within the game, The addition of The Walking Dead only opens more doors to several unique crossovers in the future.

Fortnite's crossover with The Walking Dead will be available on December 16, 2020.
