Fortnite players are more than accustomed to crossovers by now. The entirety of this past season has featured Marvel superheroes and villains, and upcoming updates are bringing DC's Poison Ivy and Joker, so fans of the game often expect outside forces to make surprise appearances.

It seems that the latest Fortnite crossover collaboration, despite a total lack of official announcement, is one between Intel and Epic Games. PC players with qualifying Intel CPUs can now receive a free "Splash Squadron" bundle, which includes the exclusive Splash Damage cosmetic set.

This free gift is available exclusively to PC users who happen to possess one of the Intel CPUs listed in a leaked promo message from Epic Games/Intel. Rather than entering a code, players should simply head to Intel's Software Offers site and create an account. From there, they'll be able to link an Epic Games account, and if an eligible Intel CPU is detected, they'll receive the Splash Squadron bundle as an in-game gift.

Interested players should follow these simple steps to claim their splashy new Fortnite loot:

  1. Head to Intel's offer page (linked below as Source)
  2. Create an account for Intel's "Digital Hub"
  3. Select "Redeem Offer"
  4. Follow the steps to check for a qualifying CPU
  5. Complete the survey and download the Apps presented
  6. Link an Epic Games account

Players will receive the bundle of items as a gift upon linking their Intel and Epic Games accounts, so there's no need to enter a code or redeem a voucher after completing this process. Simply log onto Fortnite and check the game's Inbox.

The Splash Damage set includes a new skin, pickaxe, and glider, for players to show off. And given that only PC players with a very specific set of hardware are eligible to receive this set, it's sure to be a rare one. Past exclusive Fortnite skins have been reserved for console players, with PC gamers being offered little to no equivalent packages, so in that regard, some fans are especially delighted by this announcement.

Although there's yet to be an official release by Intel or Epic Games, multiple reputable leakers have corroborated the details, and shared promotional images which all seem to indicate this is an authentic Fortnite leak. Not to mention, the offer is redeemable through Intel's page. That being said, the registration site is reportedly down for the time being, so fans who haven't already claimed their bundle shouldn't be deterred if they encounter an error when trying to claim.

Fortnite is available now on PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
