By now, chances are good that many Fortnite players who are truly dedicated to the game will have completed the bulk of the Week 1 battle pass challenges. However, there is one challenge that may be giving players some trouble, and that is the challenge to find and loot a supply llama.

To unlock this challenge, players first need to open two supply drops, which is easily done by playing the Soaring 50's limited time mode. Getting a supply llama is much more difficult, however, as supply llamas are fairly rare and much more difficult to find on the map than supply drops. However, there is still hope for any Fortnite fans who are having trouble, because as it turns out, supply llama spawns don't seem to be completely random as previously believed.

Reddit user Overwatchero4, citing over 200 hours of research, has put together a heat map that supposedly shows the most likely spawn locations for loot llamas in Fortnite. As can be seen by the heat map, the best place to check seems to be the river that runs through the center of the game world. Players should land on the north or south end of the river and follow it, checking out Loot Lake along the way. If no supply llamas are to be found in this initial search, then they should make their way to one of the other red areas on the map, depending on where the storm is at this point.

If Fortnite players are still struggling to find a supply llama to complete their Season 6 Week 1 challenges even with the heat map, they shouldn't worry. After all, they will have at least 10 weeks to find a supply llama, and as long as they play Fortnite regularly, finding one in the game should just be a matter of time. Plus, it's also possible that Epic will add a limited-time event that makes supply llamas easier to find, as we've seen with supply drops and the 50v50 modes.

In the meantime, Fortnite fans who do manage to find a supply llama and complete the rest of the Season 6 Week 1 challenges will want to hunt down the Week 1 hidden battle star in preparation for Week 2's challenges this Thursday.

Fortnite is out now in early access for iOS, Android, PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
